Officially Two Weeks

Well, Andrea and Gianna flew back to Wisconsin on Friday and although Weston and I (and Mike) miss them, Andrea and I both agreed it wasn't that sad because we know we will see each other in a couple weeks! Weston and I leave officially two weeks from today!! I can't believe it is coming up that fast. As much as I want to go home, I am also getting very sad because we have made some really great friends here and it will be hard to leave. As far as our house goes, we haven't had any offers but lots of showings. We are starting to get a little anxious, but a friend told me some good advice- God is never late and rarely early (thanks Rishelle). We have to believe in His timing.

Before Andrea and Gianna left we got to celebrate Michael's birthday. We went out to eat that evening and then the next day Andrea offered to watch Weston so I could go eat lunch with Michael. I think Michael would say it was a good birthday even if his cake is starting to become a fire hazard;)

When we went out to eat, Weston and Gianna had fun deciding what they were going to eat. However, I don't know why Weston was so interested in the menu- he still wants nothing to do with solid foods.

At one point in the evening Weston woke up from a nap and seemed to be scared about something. The only thing that would calm him down was this necklace I was wearing, so Michael put the necklace on so he could hold Weston. We still don't know what goes through Weston's head sometimes.

Finally, Friday night we decided to give Weston his first trim (I don't want to call it his first haircut because there wasn't enough hair to save). He was getting a little shaggy around the ears, so we literally cut about ten little hairs- he still doesn't even have that much hair to begin with.

However, it is getting quite long on the top- at least long enough to stick up when he sleeps on it wrong:)

  1. Great post, Maria. Lots of pictures! And I love the one of his hair sticking up. I didn't even realize that it was that long!(Julia is jealous!)

  2. Good luck moving back to WI in two weeks! It is so fun to see Weston grow up on the blog. Hopefully someday we will see him eating solid food with a happy face on:) We will be praying for your house & the move!
